My experience with Dr. Michael Smith and Accent Dental was extremely concerning. I was given documentation representing that my crowns were approximately 95% zirconium. After months of problems, I had the work removed by another dentist. During that process, I was told a 3 mm piece of material had been left behind a crown, and the replacement dentist also commented that the crown material behaved unusually soft while being cut out. Because of those concerns, I sent removed crown material to an independent third-party laboratory for testing. The laboratory analysis I received reported approximately 5% zirconium, not the approximately 95% I understood had been represented to me. I am sharing my personal experience because patients deserve clear information about what materials they are paying for and what is being placed in their mouths. I have documentation supporting the facts I am describing and have also reported my concerns to the appropriate authorities. If you are considering major dental work, ask questions, get important representations in writing, keep your records, and seek a second opinion if something does not feel right.

I experienced an excellent, unwavering, professional and compassionate with Dr. Smith. The entrance receptionist gets an B+. I went to a previous dentist for 2 years because the location was a half mile from My business and the experience there was so terrifying and turbulent that i decided to REALLY search for a quality, high integrity (or atleast much higher than the previous) dentist. I visited and paid four different dentists before I found this gem. The process wasn't easy nor pleasant while in MUCH pain! In under 30 days, Accent Dental got My dental health back on track. Thank you, Dr. Smith. YOU are the standard I was searching for and found! My money and I WILL be back! As a note: after My 1st visit, pain hit an all time high the night. I left a voice message with accent and received a call right away! Thank you, ma'am for having compassion and ordering Me something for both the inflammation and pain. I decided to see just how detrimental this switch was, so I called the dentist I had been paying for 2 years-just to see the difference in CARE. I left a voicemail and several hours later once business was open (this dentist is ALWAYS a good hour late to her establishment) her receptionist called and suggested i come IN to be seen. I had NEVER called for an emergency NOR asked for a prescription from them. I've never haggle them on price. Matter of fact: I paid for their in-house insurance and paid completely out-of-pocket because they didn't accept My insurance. People, don't let pain nor pricing stop your search for a dentist that is right for you! Dr. Smith wasn't the first dentist I saw at Accent, but I say with honesty: He was the BEST! Nice team y'all got. Please don't change. May The Lord God be and stay with you~

Went for check up and cleaning. No more free cleanings, deep clean over $700 even though I have zero cavities and no problems. This is outrageous pricing. Opted for regular cleaning and was told first avail appointment is 5 months away. I may be looking elsewhere. I would not recommend because of the hygienists, but the dentist is very nice. I think he needs to take a hard look at his hygienists and what they are charging.

Accent Dental group is by far the best dental experience I’ve ever had. Dr. Smith and his staff made everything from my initial consultation to my most recent appointment all around fantastic encounters. I’ve always had dental anxiety and once I met the staff and Dr. Smith I was instantly put at ease and knew I was in good hands. I highly recommend Accent Dental group for any and all future dental care. They are Phenomenal and I love my new smile!

Do not waste your time at Accent Dental in Pearland. I scheduled a cleaning 5/28/26 but only received X-rays and an exam. Afterward, I was told they were short on hygienists and to come back another day for the cleaning—something that was never mentioned when booking. The staff was unprofessional and nonchalant, and the office itself seemed poorly maintained. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Went in for my exam and X-rays, and the office staff was awesome from beginning to end. The assistant, Zaid, was on point with the X-rays, and Magda, the hygienist, cleaned my teeth. She was so kind and very informative. Dr. Jackson was so sweet and explained everything thoroughly and clearly. Overall, it was a great experience!

This place is a money grab. Called to make an appt for a cleaning...they told me I had to make 2 different appointments, one for the hygienist to determine what "kind" of cleaning i need, than another appointment for the actual cleaning. Of course I would have to pay for both. Appts are several months out. I got my attachments removed here and the dentist didnt do a thorough job and left piece of one on my tooth. I will never go back here and will tell my friends not to go here either.
