Almaden Valley Smile Design

After a not great experience with my prior dentist of 15 years, I went in search of another dentist I could trust. I was fortunate to find Almaden Valley Smile Design after yet another dentist in the interim that didn't work out. There's plenty of parking available, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth - I believe her name was Melinda - was exceptionally kind and made me feel at home throughout my appointment. Dr. Andirious made it a point of asking if I had any concerns or any questions for her regarding my teeth and gums a few times, which I appreciated. She found a small cavity and a chipped tooth that needed to be repaired. She was efficient but kind, and I didn't feel like I was being seen on an assembly line - like some other dental offices I experienced in the past. The front desk was able to schedule a follow-up the appointment the next day. During the procedure to address the cavity and chipped tooth, I felt completely comfortable in her care, and she checked in with me frequently to make sure I was doing okay. I went to Almaden Valley Smile Design in search of a dentist I could trust, and I found that in Dr. Andirious and her staff.

Dr. Clara Andirious and her team are absolutely fantastic. I am a person who is VERY nervous about dental work, but this team honestly makes it hard to be nervous. They are so kind, go at your pace, and explain everything so well. I came in as a new patient this month, and they have now gained a patient for life. My spouse saw how well I was treated just from the waiting room and has decided to go as well. I could not recommend them more, especially if you have anxiety around going to the dentist.

I have decided to discontinue service with this dental practice. My family uses different dentists who consistently provide accurate out-of-pocket estimates before scheduling appointments. However, with this provider, I have repeatedly received unexpected bills after service. For this recent appointment, I explicitly informed the office that my parents would only proceed if all services were covered by insurance. I requested notification of any copay before confirming the appointment. I was assured that if a copay existed, I would be notified prior to confirmation. When I received the appointment notification without any call, I reasonably assumed there would be no copay and confirmed the appointment. On the appointment day, my wife accompanied my parents and specifically asked before the service began if any payment was required. She was told no payment was needed. Only after the service was completed was she asked to pay the copay. While I have no issue with paying the amount owed, I am concerned about the communication breakdown. Other dental providers routinely provide accurate out-of-pocket estimates before scheduling. This pattern of surprise billing has occurred with this practice almost every time. Due to these recurring issues, I will be transitioning my family's dental care to a different provider.

Ive only had a session, so not really able to give an opinion yet, but my initial experience was that everybody was very friendly , the place was clean and hygenist was very good, and reasonably priced. I'll be happy to give an opinion once I have finished my implant. and been there for a year.

I have been Dr. Andirious's patient for over 15 years. She is amazing. I just had an implant done and the office visit was stress-free and easy. Dr. Andirious and her team are very caring and the results are outstanding. I highly recommend her and also nominate her for #1 dentist in town.

Let me start by saying Dr. Andirious is AMAZING & the office is very clean and welcoming!! she made my entire visit wonderful. I have a huge fear of needles since I had a really bad dental experience with my last dentist who over diagnose fillings but my orthodontist and Dr. Andirious both reassured me that was false! Vernice, her assistant greeted me and explained everything in detail from the x-ray machine around my head to the other sets and focused on a tooth that was chipped and was bothering me. Dr. is really busy and comes highly recommended so I did have to wait to get an appointment but I am glad I did now have a new dentist my parents now come here & uncle. Also front desk and hygienist are both very welcoming and Alondra took care of my insurance details since I had no clue who I was insured with. Overall I am very please with the office and their staff.
