Dental Matters

Terrible experience. If ZERO stars were an option, that is what I would give Dental Matters and Dr.Syed. I came here for TMJ concerns and braces, and my experience was extremely disappointing. My wires broke repeatedly, and during one emergency visit I waited 30–40 minutes only to be told my wire could not be replaced because my appointment was only 10–15 minutes. The wire was poking my gums, yet I was sent home without it being properly addressed.The worst part was having my orthodontic treatment terminated without being properly informed. I had to contact the office myself to find out. After paying $1,500, I received only $1,000 back, and I was left with braces still on my teeth with no proper plan for removal. I had to find another orthodontist and pay an additional $150 just to have them removed. Terminating someone’s treatment and then leaving them to deal with the consequences themselves is unacceptable. I felt dismissed, disrespected, and that financial considerations mattered more than patient care. I have previous experience with an orthodontic specialist, so I understand the importance of proper orthodontic care. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering braces to do extensive research, understand exactly who is treating you, and read your contract carefully before committing. I would not recommend Dr. Syed or Dental Matters. Patients deserve to feel cared for, not treated as a source of revenue and then left to deal with the consequences themselves. Based on my experience, financial gain appeared to be prioritized over patient care. Choose your provider carefully- There are dentists who genuinely care about their patients, and sadly, I did not feel Dr. Syed was one of them.

I'll be the first to admit I dont like going to the dentist but now I can't wait to go back. Everyone here was so kind/friendly to one their patients but to one another as well. Especially my doctor (Laura habeeb) who's very good on communicating on what's going to happen, good listener, very patience but overall made the experience comforting/safe. Highly HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone. You won't regret it

Dental Matters provided an outstanding experience for my sister, and I. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a friendly and caring reception staff. The office is beautiful, modern, clean, and organized, with a calming atmosphere and a wonderful aroma that helped put everyone at ease. Dr. Laura was exceptional. She has an excellent bedside manner and treated my sister with kindness, patience, and compassion throughout her visit. She was encouraging, attentive, professional, and took the time to make Maria feel safe and comfortable. Her gentle approach eased my sister's anxiety and helped her feel cared for every step of the way. 🩷 I would also like to recognize Dr. Syed for his kindness and thoughtfulness. He provided oxygen for my sister when needed and graciously allowed her to remain comfortable in the dental chair while we waited for our transportation to arrive. His compassion and willingness to accommodate her needs meant more to us than words can express. 🫶🏼 I would also like to give special recognition to Rosa. Throughout the entire process, she demonstrated remarkable patience, understanding, and professionalism. She was always willing to answer questions, provide guidance, and ensure everything went smoothly. Her caring attitude made a stressful situation much easier for me 🌹 The entire team was respectful, professional, and accommodating. Everyone worked together seamlessly to ensure my sister received exceptional care while maintaining a positive and welcoming environment. We are truly grateful for the compassion, patience, and professionalism shown by the entire Dental Matters team. We highly recommend Dental Matters to anyone seeking outstanding dental care delivered with kindness, dignity, and respect. ❤️👯‍♂️🦷✨

Coming here was the best decision I made for my oral care! “Dental Matters” really does mean you matter to them! I really appreciate everyone I interacted with in my first visit for a cleaning, x-rays and a consultation for dental implants. They were very kind and helpful with the entire process. I’m absolutely elated with seeing them go forward!

Justin did my cleaning today and he was absolutely fantastic! Gentle, thorough and very knowledgeable! When the dentist came in he spoke about potential need for implants down the line but was not pushy. Had a very good experience!

Best experience overall. A special thank you to Justin, who handled my procedure flawlessly. Despite my tight schedule, he was willing to work outside of his normal hours, which truly meant a lot to me. They just don't see you patient here - they genuinely care, and it really shows.

Been to Dental Matters plenty of times. Nothing special. Front desk is nice. But then, you are ALWAYS. And I mean ALWAYS. Taken late. It’s insane. It doesn’t matter what time you book the appointment, what day, you will be taken late no matter what. But really I am writing this review because I believe they are scammers here and just want your money. They quoted me $758 OUT OF POCKET, after insurance, and told me I had 9 cavities. Then wanted me to pay 1.2k more, once again AFTER INSURANCE, OUT OF POCKET, for my wisdom teeth. I truly left this place crying and feeling defeated. They said they have payment plans but wow, $2.5k is insane. Fast forward this past week, I went to Brighter Smile Dentistry in Skokie as well. And was told I only had 7 cavities and it would be $200 TOTAL FOR EVERYTHING, AFTER INSURANCE. They got 4 cavities done in literally 45 minutes. If you go here, and think this place is fine, that is fine. But I truly believe they are scammers, grifters, looking to make a quick penny at the expense of people who are terrified, looking for true advice, and quality service. They have other bad reviews. Cut somebody’s cheek. People say the manager is rude and does not care about their costumers. They have other people write good reviews so the reviews can be buried. But if you look you will find them.

I’ve had an excellent experience with this dental office from start to finish. The team is incredibly efficient, thorough, and respectful of your time — I’m always seen promptly and often finished earlier than expected without ever feeling rushed. Dr. Laura Habeeb is warm, welcoming, and exceptionally knowledgeable. She takes the time to be very thorough and is always on top of what needs to be done, which gives me complete confidence in my care. Communication is easy and clear, and any questions or requests are handled quickly and professionally. Overall, this office consistently delivers high-quality care with efficiency, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to their patients. I highly recommend them.
