We moved from out of town and were nervous about where to go for our dental needs, but are completely confident after two appointments that our family will never go anywhere else. There's an old saying, "It takes so little to be above average." And when it comes to healthcare, "above average" can simply be translated into "personal". After our local dentist sold his practice to a franchise dental company, I gave it a go; followed through with my scheduled appointments and even returned to replace an old crown. Though I tried, I was not able to develop the same level of comfort and trust I had known under the previous management and found myself anxious about future appointments. I learned about Victoria Family Dentistry through online search engines, favorable reviews, and finally through the testimony of a patient I knew personally who had to have crowns following root canals. My first visit with Victoria Family Dentistry--the standard 6mos cleaning and checkup--was a very positive and pleasant experience. The office was clean and well-lit, with natural light flooding in through large windows and family photos on the walls. The staff was welcoming and professional, making eye contact when asking me to sign here or directing me down the hallway. My dental hygienist exuded confidence with compassion; thorough yet gentle around receding gum lines, resulting in quite possibly the best cleaning I've ever had. Dr. Heard was also thorough with her examination, asking all the pertinent questions one would expect with a first-time visit and checking mouth and jaw functions. Their efficiency enabled me to be in and out within an hour of my scheduled appointment time. It's true that it takes so little to be above average, and Victoria Family Dentistry gets that.

The dental hygienist was through but very careful as I have sensitive teeth. I didn't have one bad moment during the checkup. Dr. Heard is also good about making sure you feel the least amount of pain she can. The whole visit was not bad at all and I am one of the worst for going to see a dentist.
