Big shoutout to the team at Metropolitan Dental Arts for quelling my longstanding fear of the dentist! Everyone I interacted with from receptionists to dental hygienists to Dr. Heller were all super kind, informative, and made sure I was comfortable throughout every step of every appointment (after many years away from the dentist, you can imagine I had a few cavities to go back to get filled). So happy I've found a spot in the neighborhood to keep coming back to without fear! Thank you to the full team.

In the past years I had several procedures done here including fillings, root canals and crowns. Four of these procedures didn’t hold up, causing one tooth to break and needing an implant, and permanent pain in three teeth after routine fillings, which can now only be resolved with root canals and tens of thousands of dollars. The hygienists and Dr Bokhur are great, but I wouldn’t recommend this office since profit seems to be more important than accountability. Don’t be fooled by the swanky office.

I was recommended Metropolitan Dental Arts and it did not disappoint!!! I’ve had 2 cleanings and 11 fillings done with Dr Bae. The staff is amazing and the whole billing process is seamless. The office and facilities are immaculate, clean and super modern!! I have since brought my whole family to the practice, including my 3 and 4 year old kids. The pediatric dentist Dr Alexandra is so kind and fun. My kids were fearful of the dentist and now are super excited for their appointments. It took me trying 3 pediatric dentists to find this gem!!

I had a very frustrating experience trying to schedule an appointment with Metropolitan Dental Arts. As someone who has worked in healthcare for over 16 years and currently serves as a Director of Clinical Operations, I have a strong understanding of insurance benefits. Unfortunately, the front desk team demonstrated significant confusion around even basic plan structures. When I initially called, I was repeatedly told my plan was an EPO, when in fact it is a PPO with both in-network and out-of-network benefits. After some back and forth, this was finally clarified and my son’s appointment was scheduled. However, the day before the appointment, I received a call and text stating I did not have out-of-network benefits. This directly contradicted both my plan details and what had already been confirmed. The situation became even more confusing when I was told the provider was only out-of-network. I explained again that I do have OON benefits and asked them to recheck. At that point, Tai informed me I would need to pay upfront and seek reimbursement—then backtracked and said that information was incorrect. I was then told my insurance had stated my plan started on 3/15/26, which is inaccurate. My coverage began on 4/1/26, which had already been verified during my initial call with both the office and UnitedHealthcare. The constant misinformation and lack of clarity were incredibly frustrating. Even more concerning was the communication style—I was repeatedly talked over, and when I calmly asked for verification (after already speaking directly with UHC), I was labeled as “rude.” What was most concerning was that when I requested a manager to resolve the confusion, Tai hesitated and was unwilling to readily provide that information. Patients should never have to push for basic escalation when there is clear uncertainty and misinformation. If there is uncertainty around insurance verification, it should be acknowledged and clarified before communicating conflicting information to patients. This experience reflected poor customer service and a lack of accountability UPDATE: wow Tia called me back an hour or so after to taunt, when in fact my request was to only speak to her manager. So unprofessional! I cant believe a front desk admin conducts themselves this way. So, I had my insurance call them & turns out I was right all along.

Just had my 6-month check-up at **Metropolitan Dental Arts** and had another great experience. Maria was fantastic—super friendly, gentle, and very thorough. She made the whole visit comfortable and took the time to explain everything she was doing, which I really appreciated. The office is clean, modern, and runs right on schedule, which makes appointments quick and easy. It’s clear the team really cares about their patients and the quality of their work. If you’re looking for a dentist in the area, I highly recommend **Maria and the team at Metropolitan Dental Arts**. Always a great experience!

Dr. Heller runs a professional and welcoming practice and goes above and beyond to ensure my needs are fully met. Dr. Miller was exceptional—skilled, patient, and thorough in explaining everything, which made me feel confident and at ease. Javed was kind, attentive, and supportive throughout my visit. This office is absolutely outstanding. From the moment I sat down, the office created an atmosphere that was calm, welcoming, and genuinely patient‑centered. Joy is incredibly thorough, gentle, and attentive, explaining each step in a way that made me feel informed and comfortable. What stood out most was her combination of technical skill and compassion — my teeth have never felt cleaner, and I never once felt rushed or overlooked. She balanced professionalism with warmth, and it made the entire experience feel effortless. I left feeling cared for, respected, and confident in my dental health.
