THIS COMPANY IS RUNNING A SCAM!! I originally went in as a new patient for a routine cleaning. I left that day with an estimate for multiple fillings and the need for a mouth night guard. I reviewed the estimate and decided to go forth with the proposed dental work. During the time where the treatments were completed, I continued to tell the doctor that my bite was not correct, I was told that is because of the novocaine and everything would be OK when that went away. When I "checked out" I was told that my portion of the billing was noticeably higher than the estimate that was quoted. I showed the quote and was initially brushed off with the statement, "those services were not covered by my insurance". I asked for a detail of the days treatment and then compared line by line from the quote. I found three new items that were not on the quote. When I questioned, I was brushed off again, but I continued to press as to why unauthorized services were rendered. Over an hour later it was determined that those services were "accidentally" put in my bill. Now being a new customer, and having arranged for my wife to come in as well, I was offered a $100 referral credit. That was applied and I paid the patient responsibility portion and went home. Over the next few days I experience continued pain sending me back into the office. I was told that day that nothing could be done because my doctor was out of the office and wouldn't be back for three days. I scheduled an appointment to go back in and indeed my bite was off causing the pain. I also started getting texts and emails that I had an unpaid balance of $100. I thought that was strange since it's the exact amount of the referral credit. I responded to both the email and text asking for an itemized breakdown of the billing. (I still as of today have not received this statement) The day finally came that the night guard was ready and I went back in. I told them again that day that my teeth and bite still didn't feel right. Once again I was ignored and nothing was done. Upon looking at the night guard for the first time, I noticed that it didn't look complete. When I first put the night guard in I told them that it was painful and didn't feel right. At that point felt the area that I had seen didn't look complete and sure enough, i could feel my back wisdom teeth, the guard didn't completely cover all my teeth. For this I was told that it was normal and everything would be fine. For over an hour, they continued to grind away to try and make this custom piece fit. I was finally told that it would take up to three weeks for my mouth to get used to the new guard. When leaving, I was told that there was still a past due balance on the account. I told them my intent to resolve that once the issues with the mouth guard were worked out. Well, three weeks later I went back in and told them that it was still very painful and that my teeth/bite felt like it was getting worse. I again pointed out the fact that the guard didn't completely cover my teeth and I was waking up to sore and bleeding in that area on the inside of my cheek. Once again I was brushed off. Well, they took another hour to tweak and grind away to make my "custom" mouth guard fit and work as promised. I was once again told to give it up to three weeks to fully set to my mouth. I continued to receive texts and emails staying i had a delinquent balance. I responded again with my request and NO ANSWER to either text or email. So I called the billing dept and asked why nobody is responding to my texts and emails. I was put on hold for what felt like a very long time only to have the employee come back on the line telling me that those notifications are sent from unmonitored accounts. I still have more to say but I have reached the limited on words for this review. I originally choose this practice because of their Google reviews, fitting that I am back here leaving a review myself. Buyer Beware! I AM STILL DEALING WITH THIS NIGHTMARE!

Bayside Dental was pleasant and comfortable. I had a teeth cleaning my hygienist was knowledgeable and gave some tips on keeping my gums and teeth healthy. The front office is beautiful. The front team smiled when greeting. Very welcoming

I accompanied my 84-year-old mother, for whom I am the primary caregiver, to this office for what we understood would be a routine filling. Instead, her appointment became a nearly three-hour procedure involving multiple treatments and nitrous oxide, none of which was communicated to me during the visit. According to my mother, she became dizzy before leaving the office and informed staff that she was not feeling well. She was reportedly told to sit down, but no one reassessed her condition, checked her vital signs, or informed me that she had become symptomatic prior to discharge. Shortly after arriving home, my mother became extremely dizzy, lost consciousness, and passed out. It was only after this incident that I learned she had received nitrous oxide, undergone multiple procedures, been prescribed an antibiotic, and had an $8500 bill. Neither my mother nor I were given an explanation for the antibiotic, and no discharge or post-op instructions were provided. When I contacted the office seeking information and assistance, I was met with rudeness and a lack of concern. Dr. Mata stated that once my mother was walked out from the back, she was discharged and no longer their responsibility. Despite being informed that my mother had experienced a syncopal episode shortly after leaving the office, she never once asked how my mother was doing. Instead, she was dismissive, interrupted me repeatedly, and ultimately hung up the phone. I am deeply troubled by the lack of communication surrounding a lengthy procedure, the administration of nitrous oxide, the prescription of an unexplained antibiotic, and the failure to address an elderly patient’s complaint of dizziness before discharge. As a patient of this practice for more than 30 years, I always received excellent care under Dr. Boeke. Unfortunately, since his departure, the quality of communication, professionalism, and patient care has declined significantly. I intend to file a formal complaint with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners regarding these concerns. Patients and their families deserve clear communication, appropriate discharge instructions, and compassionate care—especially when an elderly patient develops new symptoms before leaving the office. Based on this experience, I would think twice before seeking care here and would be especially hesitant to entrust an elderly family member to this practice. This experience has completely eroded my trust in the office. My family deserved better care than what was provided on this day.

The best dental experience I've had. Everyone is nice and I do everyone. Always smiles from the whole team. Sometimes I can have what seems like 1,000 questions (billing, procedure, at home routines, etc) and the team responsible for answering those questions take their time to answer them all and make sure I understand everything before leaving the office. I will be sharing my experience and telling my associates in the area to make the change to Bayside. I truly appreciate the Bayside Dental team!

Like many people, it’s difficult for me to switch doctors or dentists. Having said that, I’m very impressed with Dr. Charles at Bayside Dental in Rowlett. He’s clearly very knowledgeable and skilled. He’s also very kind. Twice he has seen me without an appointment because I was in pain, and both times fixed the problem.

Every single person that works here is so wonderful!!! They helped me so much when I was shopping around for dental insurance versus going with their in house VIP services. I was pretty anxious that my years of dental neglect would end up costing me some major work but Dr Boeke was very honest at what work I needed to have a pretty mouth!! I give them a 10/10!

I honestly wish I could give more than 5 stars. I’ve had minimal dental issues, however, going to the dentist has always terrified me. From my first phone call to schedule my appointment, the staff has been top tier. Teresa has such a delightful, bright personality and she made scheduling my cleaning seamless. My hygienist, I believe her name is Elise (I am so sorry if it’s not!) was outstanding. She noticed that I was nervous and was able to calm me down and reassure me. She also hums “My Shiny Teeth and Me” from Fairly Oddparents! Lol! That was a great distraction! My dentist, Dr. Charles, is extremely pleasant with great bedside manner as well! I got a filling this morning and he did an amazing, pain-free job. Love love love this dental office!!
